چکیده

Abstract We present a three-dimensional (3D) numerical solver of the linearized compressible Euler equations (Global Acoustic Linearized Euler), used to model acoustic oscillations throughout solar interior. The governing are solved in conservation form on fully global spherical mesh (0 ? ? 2 ? , 0 ? r R ? ) over background state generated by standard S. implement an efficient pseudospectral computational method calculate contribution material derivative dyad internal velocity perturbations, computing arbitrary 3D fields. This offers foundation for “forward-modeling” approach, using helioseismology techniques explore various regimes mass flows. demonstrate efficacy presented this paper reproducing observed power spectra, showing rotational splitting due differential rotation, and applying local measure travel times created simple single-cell meridional circulation.

The Linear Sensitivity of Helioseismic Ring Diagrams to Local Flows

Ring-diagram analysis is a technique of local helioseismology used to infer plasma flows in the solar convection zone which generates intermediate data products known as ring-fitting parameters. Knowing the sensitivity of ringfitting parameters to actual flows in the Sun is important for interpreting these measurements.Working in plane-parallel geometry, we compute the linear sensitivity of rin...

Wilsonian flows and background fields

We study exact renormalisation group flows for background field dependent regularisations. It is shown that proper-time flows are approximations to exact background field flows for a specific class of regulators. We clarify the rôle of the implicit scale dependence introduced by the background field. Its impact on the flow is evaluated numerically for scalar theories at criticality for differen...

Modeling of Partial Digest Problem as a Network flows problem

Restriction Site Mapping is one of the interesting tasks in Computational Biology. A DNA strand can be thought of as a string on the letters A, T, C, and G. When a particular restriction enzyme is added to a DNA solution, the DNA is cut at particular restriction sites. The goal of the restriction site mapping is to determine the location of every site for a given enzyme. In partial digest metho...

2DV Nonlinear k-ε Turbulence Modeling of Stratified Flows

The commonly used linear k-ε turbulence model is shown to be incapable of accurate prediction of turbulent flows, where non-isotropy is dominant. Two examples of non-isotropic flows, which have a wide range of applications in marine waters, are saline water flow and the stratified flows due to temperature gradients. These relate to stratification and consequently, variation of density through...

Helioseismic Holography of Simulated Solar Convection and Prospects for the Detection of Small-Scale Subsurface Flows

We perform helioseismic holography on realistic solar convection simulations and compare the observed travel-time perturbations with the expected travel times from the horizontal flows in the simulations computed from forward models under the assumption of the Born approximation. We demonstrate reasonable agreement between the observed and model travel times which reinforces the validity of hel...
